By making a booking on one of Makeup Academy NI courses, you are entering into an agreement as follows:
Bookings can only be accepted by paying a £100 deposit via this website. If course is due to start within 14 days from time of booking,then full payment must be paid to secure your place on the course.
Payment for your place on the course can be made via PayPal, Bank Transfer or cash only within 14 days of payment of deposit. When you book your place it will be reserved for you for 14 days. If payment has not been received by me within 14 days, your place on the course may be cancelled.
If you wish to cancel your booking
When you place any order via the Internet, you, the customer, has the right to cancel the order, without incurring any costs, by writing to the supplier with notice of cancellation under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. With this in mind, you have the right to cancel your workshop booking by writing to me within 10 days of making the booking (the cancellation period) with notice of cancellation. I will refund all money paid by you in full within 7 days of receiving this notice.
If you wish to cancel your booking after this 10 day cancellation period and more than 14 days before the workshop is scheduled, you will receive a full refund less a £35 administration fee within 7 days of me receiving your cancellation notice.
If you wish to cancel within 14 days of the date of the workshop, or fail to show up on the day of the workshop for whatever reason, I am unable to offer any refunds.
If I need to cancel a Course
If, due to unforeseen circumstances, I need to cancel a course or if the venue becomes unavailable, I will inform you by email as soon as possible. I will try and re-schedule the workshop for a different date / location. If you are unable to attend this re-scheduled workshop you may transfer your booking to a future workshop or receive a full refund.
With this in mind, if you plan to travel to Northern Ireland specifically for this workshop, I recommend that you purchase trip cancellation travel insurance as I am unable to cover any travel / accommodation expenses you may incur due to the cancellation of any workshop.
It is advisable to have adequate insurance for your own brushes that you use during the course. I have public liability insurance in place but this will not cover any damage caused by the elements, theft or accidental damage. I am not responsible for any damage incurred or loss suffered to your brushes or belongings while you take part in the course.
By booking a place on my workshops you confirm that you are over the age of 16. Under 16’s may attend only with parental consent in writing. Please inform me in advance if one of the places booked is for someone under the age of 16. Please be aware that in order to obtain your accreditation you have to complete a folder of work throughout the course.
Gift vouchers can only be redeemed against the beginners course or one-one course, exception will only be made recipient has already completed level 2 course with the academy.
Vouchers cannot be redeemed in either part or full with any promotional offer.
Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from date of purchase unless otherwise stated
The full value of the Gift Vouchers must be redeemed against your workshop or training booking – Unspent balances cannot be carried forward
Gift Vouchers are not redeemable for cash
During the course you will ensure that you bring with you every week, full set of brushes, which are: clean, good condition an fit for purpose. ( Please ask for more details of brushes required prior to course commencing)
Attend wearing appropriate clothing and footwear.
Please inform us at time of booking if you have any mobility problems or require wheelchair access.
At all times during the course and while in attendance at the workshop venue, you will conduct yourself in an orderly manner and
not act in a manner that may cause offence, annoyance or inconvenience to other students or the staff or cause or permit any damage to the fixtures and fittings at the venue. You will be responsible for the payment of any and all expenses incurred by you in relation to you attending the course.
Any personal information / data you provide at time of booking the workshop is used solely to provide the service and process the payment. I do not share your personal information with any third parties, other than the accrediting body.
If we need to contact you in relation to the workshop booking we will contact you in the first instance via email, or in urgent cases by the telephone number you provide.
Occasionally I will use images taken by the academy or students during the course on my website and social media pages. If you prefer that I DO NOT use your images, please inform me on the day of the workshop.
Intellectual Property Rights
All Intellectual Property Rights in, or arising out of, or in connection with the courses together with the materials & handouts supplied shall be owned by, and the exclusive property of Makeup Academy NI and can not be copied, shared or distributed without our express permission.
In booking any course with Makeup Academy NI are accepting the terms and conditions as detailed on this page.has already completed level 2 course with the academy.
